I love the interplay of color, light, shape and form as I journey through each piece I create. Pastels as a medium further that interplay, simultaneously providing the joy of both painting and drawing. The array of pastel colors before me as I begin my artwork ignites and inspires my creative flow. It is a journey in which the sense of mark making and accidental discovery propels my art into becoming more than I envisioned at the start. In each piece, my goal is to be part of an unfolding; revealing to the viewer the beauty in objects arranged together, the human form in pose, the interactions of the natural landscape, the beauty of our world.
